PUPPIES.

Who wouldn't be happy around this little bugger?
At college admission offices around the country, we are in the thick of reading season. Reading season is a great time of the year but comes with its own set of challenges. We love being able to review and discuss all of the application materials that you, your teachers and your counselors have taken the time to send us. We know how much time you have spent presenting the best application package you can to Tulane, and as such we want to make sure every application gets the time and respect that it deserves. But with that time and respect comes a lot of reading. A lot lot of reading. Like, all day, all night, all weekend reading. Top that off with a 20% increase in students applying to Tulane this year, and we have our work cut out for us.

So what do you do when you and the staff in the Office of Admission need a break? Enter: the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter.  My colleagues Becky, Leila and I coordinated a surprise puppy arrival to for the admission team to enjoy. And enjoy those puppies, they did! We even made sure the rest of campus got to join in on the fun.

The photos tell the story. Enjoy them and best of luck in the application process... even with the distraction of the world's cutest puppies, we'll still have over 20,000 admission decisions in the mail by December 15th.

You can reach out to the JPAS to adopt!
